- Soil temperatures in Athenry currently 4 degrees
- Average winter growth of 3.79 kg/dm/day
- Much of this growth took place in November
- Plan to turn replacement heifers out next week
Housing/Nutrition details
- All cows receiving pre-calving minerals at rate of 100 grams/head/day
- Replacement heifers to cease meal feeding
- Second cut silage pit opened and being fed
