Supporting the Year of Sustainable Grassland
The Agricultural Science Association (ASA) organised a grass based drystock event on Wednesday the 24th of May. The morning focused on genetics and grassland management for Sheep at the Research centre in Athenry. The group moved to Newford for the afternoon where grassland management for suckler cows and finishing cattle were the main topics. The day attracted a number of young agri consultants. The event was hosted by Teagasc and backed by Allied Irish Bank (AIB).
